Since joining Hyosung in January 2021, Nancy has been instrumental in driving compliance excellence and ensuring that the company upholds the highest standards in regulatory practices.

Q: How long have you worked at Hyosung, and when did you start?
A: I joined Hyosung in January 2021.
Q: Can you tell us a little more about your background and how you joined the company?
A: Hyosung’s goal was to achieve certification under the Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards, and I was brought in to lead those efforts. With my background in compliance and certification processes, I was excited to contribute to Hyosung’s mission.
Q: What was your first impression of Hyosung?
A: What stood out immediately was Hyosung’s commitment to quality and continuous improvement. The culture here is forward-thinking and dedicated to excellence.
Q: Are there any important skills or attributes for someone pursuing a career here? Anything surprising about your role or team?
A: Regulatory compliance is one of those fields that requires patience, attention to detail, and persistence. For anyone interested in a career at Hyosung, adaptability and teamwork are key. What might surprise people is how collaborative compliance can be—we work closely across departments to ensure success.
Q: Can you summarize your day-to-day responsibilities?
A: In my role as a compliance lead, I’m responsible for maintaining regulatory standards and ensuring our certifications are always up to date. My work involves monitoring processes, coordinating with external auditors, and collaborating internally to address any gaps.
Q: What inspires you every day?
A: Working with others is energizing. Compliance might sound technical, but at its core, it’s about supporting people, solving problems, and ensuring we deliver trusted solutions.
Q: Where do you see yourself in five years?
A: In five years, I see myself continuing to grow alongside Hyosung, leading larger initiatives and furthering our position as an industry leader in compliance.
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A: Outside the professional world, I am passionate about music. I play piano, sing, and even direct a community choir. Music has always been a big part of my life.
Q: Do you have a favorite memory or standout accomplishment at Hyosung?
A: One of the most memorable experiences during my time here was leading the PCI certification project. It was a challenging but rewarding journey, and seeing the team’s hard work recognized was a true highlight.
