Employee Spotlight: Meet Alex Gorgievski

Welcome to Hyosung’s employee spotlight! Our August Spotlight is on Alex Gorgievski, PS, Systems Integration Engineer. "Alex has been a great addition to the Hyosung team. He is focused on improving our software quality. In this role, Alex has had the opportunity to work with colleagues at all levels within Hyosung as well as some of our largest customers. Alex’s determination and attention to detail has led to great improvements to our software and terminals. He has also brought a new level of innovation to the company, driving novel concepts into our processes and products. I look forward to what the future will bring for Alex and Hyosung!" Get to know more about Alex below!

Q: How long have you worked at Hyosung?

A: I've been with Hyosung for 9 months now.

Q: Can you tell us a little more about your background and how you joined the company in 2020?

A: I've been in the ATM industry for almost 8 years now. I've worked in various areas within the ATM world, whether it is hardware, software, or customer-facing issues. I've learned so much along the way about ATMs and how they operate. In 2020, I had the opportunity to join Hyosung. With my previous skills and experiences, I hope to help the company continue to grow.

Q: What was your first impression of Hyosung?

A: The company culture is very refreshing. I really enjoy everyone's excitement and willingness to provide the best possible solution to our customers. It's no surprise why Hyosung is able to deliver world class products and services to customers and why we continue to grow so rapidly.

Q: Are there any important skills or attributes that are important for someone that wants to pursue a career as a Systems Integration Engineer? Is there anything about your job or your team that you think people outside would find surprising or different in the way you/it works?

A: It takes a wide range of knowledge in various parts of the operation to integrate our systems in so many different environments. Determination is also needed to continue researching difficult problems to find a potential solution among a problem with so many variables.

Q: Can you tell us about your role and summarize your day-to-day responsibilities?

A: I work on the Professional Services team as a Systems Integration Engineer. I work daily on identifying and researching complex customer software issues. Each day, I look into various forms of machine data to help determine where our next problem lies and where we can improve. I find ways to improve integration of our machines, services, network, and overall dispatching within each customer environment.

Q: What inspires you every day?

A: My inspiration for each day is to find the next big problem and provide the best possible solutions for our customers. I get very excited when we find new solutions that will help our performance and overall customer satisfaction.

Q: In 5 years what do you want to achieve or where do you see you yourself?

A: I would like to continue working with the top financial institutions in the world while continuing to grow my knowledge and experience in the ATM industry. I love ATMs and the overall operation, and I can't see myself working in any other field!

Q: What do you like to do outside of work?

A: I love electronics, and in my free time I like to tinker with anything that involves technology. I also have a 7 month old daughter and try to spend most of my time with her and my family. I love watching football, and I'm excited for this season to get started. Go Browns!

Q: Do you have favorite memory or standout accomplishment during your time at Hyosung?

A: We were in a customer meeting, and the customer was concerned with a certain issue that they were seeing occur on their machines. Prior to the meeting, we had already researched this issue in depth, and I was able to provide a very detailed analysis of the problem and how we already had a planned fix in the works. The customer was very impressed with our data and overall knowledge of the problem. The customer felt very comfortable with our solution, and we were able to gain their trust and build a great relationship with the customer going forward.
