Q: How long have you worked at Hyosung? What was your start date?

A: 7 years

Q: Can you tell us a little more about your background and how you joined the company in 2014?

A: I started Hyosung as an Executive Assistant and assisted 3 different CEO’s from 2014-2016, eventually being promoted to Marketing.

Q: What was your first impression of Hyosung?

A: A friendly environment with deep rooted culture

Q: Are there any important skills or attributes that are important for someone that wants to pursue a career as an Event Manager? Is there anything about your job or your team that you think people outside would find surprising or different in the way you/it works?

A: Being outgoing and personable is a must. Events (both internal and external) take a lot of planning, patience with multiple changes, and being able to think quick on your feet. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and networking with customers at numerous events that I can now call my friends.

Q: Can you tell us about your role and summarize your day-to-day responsibilities?

A: My role is not limited to trade shows. I am also the owner of our new Customer Experience Center, where I coordinate customer visits, catering, and maintenance. In addition, I am the Suite Host at the AT&T Stadium for all home Cowboy Football games in our Hyosung owned Suite. Most recently I implemented an online Hyosung merchandise website hosted by Staples to streamline Sales give-away needs for customers, one-off orders for special events, and other needs. Currently, I am managing eight shows for 2021 and 3 major internal events taking place next Spring.

Q: What inspires you every day?

A: My children. Hyosung was my first job after being a stay at home mom and raising my 4 children for almost 20 years. They are proud of my accomplishments and continuously praise and push me to do more. I have become an important example showing them that hard work, dedication, and loyalty pays off, even in stressful times.

Q: In 5 years what do you want to achieve or where do you see you yourself?

A: After having worked in 2 areas of the company now, I would like to learn more across different departments within Hyosung. I am hopeful for my future and tenure at Hyosung in 5 years.

Q: What do you like to do outside of work?

A: I freelance; I decorate outside of Hyosung, and it has become a fun hobby. My youngest is very involved in softball, so most weekends you will find me at the softball fields!

Q: Do you have favorite memory or standout accomplishment you want to talk about?

A: My most memorable accomplishment at Hyosung was when I was promoted to Marketing Manager in 2016. With no formal experience planning a trade show, I was given the task to plan and run a show in under a month notice. It went seamlessly, and I am now happy to say that I have 30+ internal and external events successfully executed under my belt.
