Darrell has been part of the Hyosung family for eight months and continues to lead with excellence, dedication, and a passion for growth.
Meet Darrell Eldridge
Director of Security
Q: How long have you worked at Hyosung, and when did you start?
A: I’ve been with Hyosung for a little over 8 months. I started on March 10, 2025.
Q: Can you tell us a little more about your background and how you joined the company?
A: I have two distinct careers: 15 years in law enforcement and investigations within the public sector, and 15 years in corporate security and investigations in the private sector. After a successful law enforcement career, I wanted to broaden my experience in the public/corporate sector. I previously worked for a global financial institution, starting as an internal corporate fraud investigator and several years managing a team of internal fraud investigators. Seeking a new challenge, I saw Hyosung as an excellent next step in my career.
Q: What was your first impression of Hyosung?
A: My first impression of Hyosung was that it’s a forward-thinking company with a strong operational foundation and a clear sense of direction. I’m very happy with my decision to join the team.
Q: Are there any important skills or attributes for someone pursuing a career here? Anything surprising about your role or team?
A: Communication is essential in any role, and Hyosung clearly values strong communication. I’m in a unique position that many people find intriguing and I have to agree – It’s full of surprises, and that’s what keeps me motivated!
Q: Can you summarize your day-to-day responsibilities?
A: My role covers all aspects of security and safety and often blends with other areas. Because of this, my daily responsibilities can vary and sometimes change quickly.
Q: What inspires you every day?
A: I’m inspired daily by integrity, discipline, and accountability. Often, it’s the small things people do that best demonstrate these qualities.
Q: Where do you see yourself in five years?
A: In five years with Hyosung, I hope to have built a high-performing team and established a lasting culture of safety and integrity within Hyosung.
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A: Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, I regularly go to the gym, hike, and kayak. I also enjoy traveling and love the Dallas Cowboys, despite their less-than-perfect record.
Q: Do you have a favorite memory or standout accomplishment at Hyosung?
A: I recognize that I’m still very new to Hyosung and I’m looking forward to building strong relationships and a great reputation.
Q: Do you have a story you’d like to tell that wasn’t covered?
A: I have a couple of things I remind myself of daily: I can’t control everything that happens, but I can control how I respond. I know I’ll meet resistance each day, and that’s okay. I’ll handle it and keep moving forward.
